Quandrix

Slot the number strips from the Quandrix area into the equations below. They don't go in order - you'll need to figure out where each number strip belongs. Each ? is a number from 1-9 that you'll need to mathemagically divine. (Different ?'s can stand for the same number.) Process the equations by doing what's in parentheses first, but otherwise by going left-to-right. If you place the number strips properly, you will never need to deal with a fraction or a number less than 1 as you're solving. When you're done, take the numbers you got for the seven ?'s and use the symbol key to translate them into your answer.

Prismari

Practice graphomancy by accurately filling each grid below. Compare your completed art to the large piece in the Prismari area to gauge your accuracy. In the symbol grid, mark each sector that matches one of the grids you made. The seven marked symbols are your answer.

Graphomancy instructions: The numbers by each row and column indicate runs of consecutive black squares in that row or column. For example, "2 1" means a run of exactly 2 black squares, then at least one white square, then exactly 1 black square.

Witherbloom

Each garden below contains ten magical horned animals. Unicorns have 1 horn, Bicorns have 2, Tricorns have 3, and Quadricorns have 4. Place them according to these rules:

  • No more than one animal can appear in each square.
  • Animals cannot be placed on squares with numbers or flowers on them.
  • The numbers inside the garden tell you how many horns are adjacent to that number (left, right, up, down, or diagonally). For example, a 2 must be adjacent to either two Unicorns or one Bicorn.
  • The figures outside the gardens tell you how many animals are in that row or column.
  • Animals cannot be adjacent to one another (left, right, up, down, or diagonally).

When you've placed all the animals, find the symbol grid in the Witherbloom area. For your answer, take each symbol from that grid that corresponds to a square where a Quadricorn appears.

Left-click cycles empty → U → B → T → Q. Right-click marks an ✕. Tap cycles empty → U → B → T → Q. Long-press marks an ✕.

Lorehold

Your class is excavating seven villages. Each was divided into four regions - yellow fields (△), blue homes (□), green pastures (◆), and red shops (○) - plus a temple. When the temples stood, each region was exactly 11 plots. Reconstruct where each temple stood: it covers five contiguous plots totalling 2 yellow fields, 1 blue home, 1 green pasture and 1 red shop, and the remaining 11 plots of every region must stay contiguous. Your answer is the symbols of the seven temple shapes.

Silverquill

Study the Wxyzian language primer to derive the meanings of the 10 words in this week's lesson. Then match each object to its correct description. Your answer is the seven symbols that correspond to the correct answers.

Final Project

Each homework assignment results in 7 symbols, for a total of 35. They are tallied here as you solve them above. For your final project, create a new magical creature: each attribute is identified by a 5-symbol code, and the symbols from all seven correct attributes must exactly match this tally.

Magical Creature Components

Pick one answer per question. Each uses up its five symbols from the pool - the seven you choose must consume the pool exactly.
